A casting call posted online brings in messages from everywhere: a direct message here, an email there, a reel with no name on it. I want every performer to answer the same questions and send links in the same place.
Before the call goes out
I write the role, the dates for rehearsals, shoots and shows, and the deadline in the call notice. I set close_at to the deadline and, if I have only so many audition slots, max_responses. I also edit the role list to match my cast.
While it is open
Performers give contact details, the role they want, skills, links and the dates they cannot do. The form takes links, not files, so a reel stays on its own video site.
A performer's AI might ask: "Which role interests you?" Then "Where can I find your reel?" Then "Which dates can you not do?" It shows the answers and sends them only after a yes. See agent-fillable forms.
After it closes
I download the CSV, filter by role and skills, and compare blocked dates with my schedule. Sending audition times is my job. The form does not book slots or email performers.
Live acts can use an open mic sign-up. Looking for funding for the production? A sponsorship request form helps. People also search for an audition form, and this one covers both. Browse forms for creators and podcasters and forms for events.
Questions
Can performers upload a video?
No. The form takes links, not files. Performers paste a link to a reel on their own video or cloud account, and you open it from the CSV.
How do I handle performers under 18?
Ask for a parent or guardian's contact and keep the questions to the minimum. This template has a guardian email field. Check your local rules for working with minors.
Can I cap the number of auditions?
Yes. Set `max_responses` to the number of slots you can see, and `close_at` for the deadline. The form stops taking responses at the cap.
