Stay with Jotform for its wide feature set, payments, signed documents or five free forms. Pick AI Form API if you want a free plan your AI can drive with a plain API key. And a form page people can hand to their own AI. We do far less.

Where Jotform is better
- More free forms, fields and form views.
- Payments, signed documents and uploads. We block card numbers on purpose.
- A built-in AI form builder.
Where we fit
Jotform has an MCP server too. So that is not the difference. These are:
- The person answering can use their own AI. See agent-fillable forms.
- An API key, not an OAuth approval. That suits scripts, n8n and coding tools. See the MCP guide.
- Signed webhooks, JSON and CSV. Every limit is public: rate limits.
Move over
- Export your old submissions. We cannot import them.
- List your questions. Match each to one of 11 field types. Split a form with over 50 fields.
- Make the form. Use the quickstart, or ask your AI for
create_form. Share the link. - Add a webhook. Verify
X-AIFormAPI-Signaturewith the webhooks guide. - Keep some forms in Jotform. Payments, signed documents, uploads, logic and integrations do not exist here.
Questions
Does Jotform have an MCP server?
Yes. Jotform runs an official MCP server at mcp.jotform.com. It requires OAuth 2.0.
How do the free plans compare?
Jotform Starter lists 5 active forms and 100 submissions a month. Ours lists 3 open forms and 100 responses a month. Jotform's free plan is bigger.
Is AI Form API a full Jotform replacement?
No. Jotform is far larger, with payments, signed documents and uploads. We are a small tool for agent-made forms.
