Where we fit
Tally has an MCP server too. So that is not the difference. These are:
- The person answering can use their own AI. See agent-fillable forms.
- One plain API key, and a fill connector with no sign-in.
- Signed webhooks, JSON and CSV. Every limit is public: rate limits.
Move over
- Download your old answers. In Tally: the form, Submissions, Download CSV. We cannot import them.
- List your questions. Match each to one of 11 field types.
- Make the form. Use the quickstart, or ask your AI for
create_form. Share the link. - Move your webhook. Tally signs with a base64 HMAC-SHA256 in
Tally-Signature. We sendX-AIFormAPI-Signature: t=<unix>,v1=<hex>. See webhooks. - Keep some forms in Tally. Uploads, logic, payments and integrations do not exist here.

Does Tally have an MCP server?
Yes. Tally runs an official MCP server at api.tally.so/mcp, in beta. We have one too, plus a fill connector for the person answering.
Is AI Form API cheaper than Tally?
No. Tally's free plan lists unlimited forms and submissions. Ours has 3 open forms and 100 responses a month. Pick us for the agent features.
Can I import my Tally responses?
No. Download them as a CSV and keep it. New responses start from zero here.
