Forms for AI agents: a way to ask real people

Updated 2026-10-30

My AI can plan, write and run tasks. It cannot ask my guests, customers or applicants for anything. A form can.

The loop

  1. Create. My AI calls create_form or POST /v1/forms.
  2. Share. I get a public_url and send it.
  3. Collect. People fill it in. Some hand it to their own AI. See agent-fillable forms.
  4. Read. My AI calls get_responses. Rows come back as JSON or CSV.
  5. Close. My AI calls close_form.

Each step is done or not done. The form exists or it does not.

What I use it for

  • Leads. Name, email, need. I get a CSV or a webhook. Start with the lead capture template.
  • RSVPs. "Make an RSVP form for Friday." Later: "Who is coming?" Start with the RSVP template.
  • Feedback. A rating and a comment. The tools return exact rows, not a summary. Start with the feedback template.
  • Intake. New clients tell me things first. Start with the intake template.

Connect my AI

Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code use the MCP server with an API key header. Claude Desktop uses mcp-remote. n8n uses the MCP Client Tool node. Any agent that can call HTTP uses the REST API. Steps: MCP setup. Claude.ai and ChatGPT cannot use the creator server yet. It needs OAuth, which is planned. The fill connector works there today.

Limits

The free plan has 3 open forms, 100 responses a month and 30 requests a minute. If my AI polls, I use a webhook. See rate limits. We refuse forms that ask for secrets: acceptable use. Next: the Quickstart.

Questions

Why would an AI agent need a form?

An agent can ask you questions. It cannot ask your guests or customers. A form gives it a link to send and a place for the answers.

How does the agent get the answers back?

It calls get_responses or GET /v1/forms/{id}/responses. Rows come back as JSON or CSV. A webhook can also push each one to your server.

Can the agent send the form to people itself?

It gets a public link. If it has email or chat tools, it can send the link. We do not email respondents.
