Paper answer sheets blow away, collect coffee rings and take ages to mark. For a quiz night I would rather give each team one link. They type their answers on a phone, and I mark the rows afterwards in a spreadsheet.
How does a team answer?
Each team enters a team name, a captain's email and the number of players. Then they work through the questions. The sample mix has short text, pick one, pick all that apply and number answers. Swap in your own questions when you create the form. A tie-breaker number settles ties.
Does the form mark the answers?
No. Download the CSV and compare each column with your key. Marking is quick, because every question is one column. Teachers can use the same shape for a class review. See forms for schools and teachers.
Can a team's AI cheat?
Every public form offers "Want your AI agent to fill this?" For a quiz you may not want that, so turn it off in the settings. If you leave it on, a visitor's AI would ask "What is your team name?" Then "Which planet is called the Red Planet?" Then "In which year was the first Moon landing?" It sends only after a yes. Read how agent-fillable forms work, then decide for your night.
What else does a quiz night need?
Let teams book a table ahead with a workshop registration form. Collect the host's rating from the room with a presentation feedback form. Add a music round with a song request form. More ideas live in forms for events.
Questions
Does the form mark the answers?
No. It collects answers and does not score them. Download the CSV and compare each column with your answer key, or ask your own AI to mark the rows for you.
How do I stop teams asking an AI for answers?
Turn agent_fill off in the form settings, so the public form does not offer the AI helper. A required honour box also asks teams to answer without looking things up.
How does the tie-breaker work?
The tie-breaker is a number question with one true answer. When two teams tie, compare how far each guess is from the right figure. The closer team wins.
