AI fill for Framer forms: try the Embed component

Updated 2026-10-30

Your visitors are tired of typing into boxes. Let their AI do it. In Framer you paste the script into an Embed component below your form. Framer's help is short on this topic, so read the last section too. I tell you plainly what I could not check.

Steps

  1. Find your form's id. Publish your page, open it in a browser, right-click the form, and choose Inspect. Look at the line that starts with <form. Copy the value of id.
  2. In Framer, open the Insert menu and search for Embed. Drag the Embed component onto the canvas, below your form.
  3. In the Embed component, open the HTML tab.
  4. Paste the snippet below. Change your-form-id to the id from step 1.
  5. Publish your changes. Open your site in a browser. Look for the button above the form.

The snippet

html
<script src="https://aiformapi.com/agent-fill.js" data-form="#your-form-id"></script>

Framer says to add a script tag in the HTML section of the Embed component. It adds that some scripts need extra code around them to work. If the button does not show, go to the next section.

If no button shows

Framer's help does not say whether a script in an Embed component can see the rest of your page. I could not check this on a live Framer site. You have two other options.

  • Custom Code. In Project Settings, open the Custom Code tab. Paste the same script tag. Framer lets you choose where the code goes and which pages get it.
  • Show our form. Add an Embed component and enter the link https://aiformapi.com/f/your-slug?embed=1 as its URL. Your visitor can still use their AI on that form. Read the embed guide.

Check it

Press the button. The prompt must list your field labels. Give it to an AI, paste the answer back, and the boxes fill. Then press your own submit button.

What I checked

I read the Framer help pages for the steps above. I ran the snippet on a test page with a form and the script after it. I did not run it on a live Framer site. This guide is the least tested of the platform guides.

Questions

Why do I see no button in the Framer editor?

Framer runs scripts only in the browser and not in the editor. Publish your changes and open your site in a browser, then look for the button above the form.

I published and still see no button. Why?

Framer's help does not say whether a script in an Embed component can see the other parts of your page, and I could not test it on a live Framer site. Try the Custom Code tab in Project Settings. If that fails too, show an AI Form API form with an Embed component instead.

Can I show an AI Form API form in Framer instead?

Yes. Add an Embed component and enter the link of your form with embed=1 at the end as its URL. Make the component tall enough for the whole form.
